A story of departures and homecomings
When they were young, my parents left their hometown to work in Switzerland. They built a life there and achieved an important sense of stability. Then I was born and, out of love for their family and their roots, they decided to return to the town they had once left. It was not an easy decision: they gave up secure jobs and had to begin again, reinventing themselves through new work. They chose, however, to remain close to the people they loved and to return home.
My own return home
Many years later, my life followed a similar path. Work took me to Rome, where I lived for about ten years. It was an important experience, but family needs and the call of my roots eventually brought me back here. When I returned, I began restoring this small loft inside my family home. I worked on it for several months, caring for it as I would a place intended for myself: not simply as accommodation for a few nights, but as a real home.
“This home was born from a story of departures and homecomings. I prepared it by thinking about what I would want to find when I am far from home: everything needed to feel welcomed, free and, even for just a few days, truly at home.”
The feeling of being at home
Perhaps this is why, even when staying for only a few days, the loft feels like home. Nothing needed for everyday life is missing and, compared with many other places, there is also something more: carefully considered details, genuinely lived-in spaces and an authentic atmosphere shaped by someone who knows what it means to live far from home.
The privilege of the terrace
The private terrace is the true gem of Tallulah Relax. It is an outdoor space to enjoy slowly: for breakfast, reading, dinner beneath the Salento sky or simply taking time for yourself. A small luxury, not defined by ostentation, but by space, silence and freedom.
Roots, hospitality and local life
We are a family with farming roots. We still make Negroamaro wine, extra virgin olive oil, tomato passata, jams and preserves by hand. Hospitality means sharing this way of life and suggesting villages, coastlines and flavours to discover without rushing. Tallulah Relax is a home where time slows down, traditions continue to live and every guest can feel part of the family.
